Project: TTP Cam Pha – Green Dragon City

Vietnam Industrial Construction and Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Company (ICO) specializes in manufacturing medium- and low-voltage switchgear cabinets, kiosk substations, and single-pole substations. The company supplies medium- and low-voltage line equipment and switchgear rated up to 220kV, while also importing and distributing products from reputable brands such as ABB, Schneider, 3M, LS, and Hyundai. Consequently, TTP Industrial Development Investment Joint Stock Company selected ICO as the supplier for the power supply and substation systems—part of the power supply, lighting, and telecommunications package (Package No. 3)—for the Green Dragon City project.

The Green Dragon City project (Bai Tu Long Tourism and Service Urban Area) is located across the wards of Cam Trung, Cam Thanh, and Cam Binh in Cam Pha City, covering a total area of 100 hectares; it is developed by TTP Industrial Development Investment Joint Stock Company. Situated in the heart of Cam Pha City, the project boasts a frontage stretching along Bai Tu Long Bay. Designed as a large-scale urban area with synchronized infrastructure, it stands as the most anticipated project of 2020 for Cam Pha City, Quang Ninh Province.

Guided by the motto “Customer trust is the key to success,” the transformer station system at the project is highly acclaimed not only for its quality and adherence to schedule but also for its visually striking, vibrant exterior—decorated by ICO to resemble a colorful royal garden.

At exactly 8:00 AM on July 17, 2020, a passenger vehicle picked up the acceptance team at the Quang Ninh Power Company headquarters, along with the acceptance personnel from Cam Pha City Power, and transported them to the work site.

The 110kV substation system supplied by ICO for Green Dragon City comprises substations TBA08 through TBA14. Given the project’s 9.85 MVA capacity—which exceeded the supply capability of the local medium-voltage grid—ICO’s technical team collaborated with officials from Quang Ninh Power Company and Cam Pha City Power to connect the project to the 22kV busbar at the 110kV substation. This connection required the construction of a new 2km medium-voltage line utilizing CU/XLPE/PVC/DSTA/PVC-W 12.7/22(24)kV-3x240mm² underground cable. Additionally, a 22kV integrated feeder panel was installed at the Cam Pha E5.5 110kV substation, ensuring compatibility and seamless integration with the substation’s existing electrical switchgear system.

Furthermore, the successful energization of the 110kV substation at Green Dragon City in Cam Pha City, Quang Ninh Province, marks a significant milestone for ICO within the power industry.
